I dug out my fret levelling kit, a diamond plate and fret crowning file.
On closer inspection of this fretboard I noticed that it had been repaired at the 12th fret!?
I looks like it was in the wrong spot and reinserted rather than just throwing the board out.
As a consequence the 12th fret was high and it took quite a bit to file it down.
